Type Approval

The transmitter equipment that you will be using must be type-approved before they can be used in PNG. You only need to get one "sample" type-approved by PANGTEL if you will be using the same make/model at all your sites. Dependent on the size of the transmitter, it may be necessary to carry out the type approval tests on-site. There are a number of FM, TV and AM transmitter types already type-approved for use in PNG. You may obtain a list of these transmitters from PANGTEL on request. You are highly recommended to confirm that the equipment you are using is type-approved by PANGTEL.
